Global Petro-Chemical Manufacturer
Working with a private equity client, lead the technology carve-out from Evonik Industries, establishing a new environment and organization for a global manufacturer of Carbon Black with 26 locations in 13 countries, and over 5,000 employees. Our team of consultants planned, managed and executed a total separation of applications and infrastructure in a 12-month period. We designed and built a Global Wide-Area-Network, built and migrated 4 SAP instances to a new hosting center, established a brand new active directory domain and migrated 5,000 desktops and laptops from the seller’s network to the new network. Our efforts resulted in an early exit from the TSA, providing a $2 million/month savings for our client. The carved-out client retained our services to establish and deploy a global help desk and the migration of desktops from XP to Windows7.
Global Bio-Pharma R&D
Assisted in a $750 million global bio-pharma acquisition with Corporate HQ in the Midwest and the European HQ in the UK. Built an infrastructure organization from the ground up, establishing a global WAN and supporting infrastructure services. Lead the effort in building a US Data Center in 63 days while negotiating hosting services for the UK operation, resulting in exiting a Transition Services Agreement (TSA) 10 months early and saving the organization $25 million.
Global Bakery Manufacturer
Working with a private equity client, lead the technology carve-out, establishing a new environment and organization for a global manufacturer of Baked Good and Products with 100+ locations in 27 countries, and over 8,000 employees. Our team of consultants established a carve-out plan and worked closely with the seller to move over 250 applications, including 5 ERP Systems, set up Infrastructure services and integrate over 6000 desktop units into the new enterprise. When complete, our client was able to exit the TSA 3 months early resulting in a savings of $7.5 million. As a follow on project, two teams of our consultants consolidated 8 Data Centers into a Global Center with full back up capabilities. The second team worked applications, identifying and sun setting duplicates, consolidating like applications, and establishing an enterprise SAP environment.
Global Pharmaceutical Manufacturer
Lead the integration efforts of a $900 million CRO organization in their carve-out purchase of an Italian based business purchased from Glaxo-Smith-Kline. IG consultants lead the transition/integration efforts overseeing seven silos of activity which included movement of applications, separation of networks, and integration of equipment into the CRO’s existing domain. The engagement was completed in 10 months, 6 months ahead of the originally anticipated effort, saving the client in excess of $10 million.
